Procedure Information
Thank you for choosing AZ Beauty Studio!
*Please read the following information to ensure the best experience possible.
*If your skin is more oily texture and someone that fills in their brows everyday with makeup, powder brow is the best choice! Someone who has a lot of missing hair and thin eyebrows, this technique is also the best option because of the natural appearance powder brow can give it. It is also Safe for ALL skin types!
*Microblading on the otherhand, gives the brow a 3D effect. A hand tool, etches strokes in brow to create the look of “more hair” although microblading can look amazing, some skin types are NOT a candidate for this procedure. If you have very thin mature skin, microblading is not a safe option (for clients 55yrs and older, I will advise not doing microblading, Powder brow is the safest and best option) oily skin types or brows that have already been microbladed badly are not a cadidate. The best brows to do microblading on is a full brow and normal to dry skin and all hairs grow upward in the same direction, this is ideal!
*If you are not sure, please text me a picture of your natural brows without makeup or schedule a free consultation.
If you have had your brows previously tattooed by another artist, you MUST send me a picture of your brows without makeup as clear as possible in order for me to asses whether we can cover it or not. Correction/cover-up work is an additional $100.
Things to keep in mind.- The first week your brows will be VERY dark. This is only for the 7 days of your healing time. After peeling, brows will lighten up about 40-70%. The touch up is to perfect your brows and fill in any color that might’ve not stayed. You CANNOT wet your brows with water for 7 days (I give you tips on how to get around this)
You CANNOT be pregnant or breastfeeding. Must be at least 18 years old and NO CAFFEINE, ALCOHOL, IBUPROFEN, ASPIRIN the day of your appointment. If you take multiple prescribed medications, please let me know beforehand. Semi-permanent makeup tattoo cannot be done on certain medications. If we cannot come to an agreement on the “look” of your brows (pre-drawing) We will cancel the appointment and I will kindly ask you to go home and do some research on other artists who can better help you achieve the look you want. I will not do work I am not proud of nor will I do work that you don’t love. It’s about finding what works best for you!!
The procedure CANNOT be performed if:
under 18 years of age
Pregnant or nursing
Diabetic clients
If any skin diseases symptoms or irritation appears on the area (eyebrows, eye line or lips)
Directly after Botox treatment (after 3 weeks it is allowed)
If you are using Accutane, Isotretinoin, or other strong retinoids (after 6 months it is ok)
If you have a Pacemaker (not allowed for machine technique, but allowed in manual technique)
If you are very sensitive and pain intolerant
If you are suffering a sunburn or frostbitten (treatment allowed after symptoms disappear)
On keloids or tendency to keloids, unusual scars, birthmarks, moles
Straightaway after waxing
After a strong chemical peeling
If you currently take multiple medications, microblading may not be the best option for you. The effects of the medications, may alter the color and longevity of the ink.
Microblading:
results WILL VARY. It is not meant to totally replace makeup. It is possible that some stokes will fade faster than others. Light filling in with powder or pencil might be necessary a few months after 6 week touch up. During some instances, it is common to need a 3rd touch up, Especially for those with oily skin type or very light eyebrows or has a previous tattoo under from another technician.
Powder Brows:
results WILL VARY. This procedure CAN totally replace brow powder or pencil. light coloring in is normal. Those with more oily skin type might have quicker fading.
Procedure is approximately 2 hours long for powder brow and/or microblading.
Pigment retention is NOT guaranteed. Every person is different with different skin types, not everyone will heal exactly the same. Please keep this in mind! Healing phase is a process and ink retention is very individualized.
